Milford LBN Chapter

It was a light turnout for our meeting, with the LBN regional mixer and seasonal sicknesses being the biggest reasons. However, the light crowd allowed us to spend extra time with our 10-minute presenter, Rich Wood, from Midcourse Corrections. Rich and his team of instructors run a 45-hour boot camp for at risk youth. The program is intended for troubled youths between the ages of 11 and 17. The camp is held twice month, running from Friday at 7pm until Sunday at 4pm. This camp strives to teach the youths that they must be held accountable for their actions, and do so through various group activities, where their individual actions impact the success of entire group. They also involve the parents, with a 2-hr Midcourse Parenting mini forum, which is held on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.
